Position Summary

The Youth Care Worker is responsible for developing constructive, positive relationships with youth so that youth achieves the prescribed treatment goals.  The Youth Care Worker is responsible for maintaining the treatment milieu by providing for the youth's basic needs, being effective in counseling and managing the youth's behavior in accordance with the youth's treatment plan and developing a good teamwork relationship with youths' families, senior youth workers and other staff members.

Develop, coordinate and implement individualized treatment plans with youth and their families aimed at helping them resolve abuse, neglect and dependency difficulties and identified emotional or psychological problems which led this family into the child welfare system.  Coordinate youth's placement plan within foster care, school and community, DHS and juvenile court.  Develop a permanent placement plan for children who cannot return home.  Provide emergency services 24 hours. 

$2,000 sign-on bonus for completed CWTI Training Certification.

Provide supervision and professional leadership to a team of workers/support staff so the functioning of the unit can be accomplished. Prefer Licensing Supervisor experience.  Minimum of one(1) year licensing experience.
