Wraparound
Wraparound is a process model based on the unconditional support of a child(ren) with complex needs living in their own homes or with relatives. The process is rooted in the collaboration between the family and service providers and is need-driven. The Wraparound process is facilitated by an LCFS worker and often continues over many months because of the number of systems that the child(ren) and family may be involved.
- Wraparound assists the family and service providers to speak with one voice toward understanding and removing barriers to self-sufficiency and goal achievement.
- Wraparound sorts out various resources within the community and brings them to the family.
- The Wraparound Community Team draws upon its team members to respond to the unique needs of families involved in Wraparound.
