Foster Parenting

Have you always wondered what it would be like to be a foster parent, but have never had the information you needed to make an educated decision?  LCFS is committed to helping foster parents throughout the process of becoming a licensed home.  We have trained staff that will be available to answer your questions, and support you throughout this exciting journey. 

You may want to consider being a foster parent with LCFS of Michigan because of the following:

    LCFS of Michigan professionals involve you in developing a plan of care for each foster child in your home, and offer ongoing training and continued support.
  2. Caring staff
    LCFS of Michigan provides 24-hour access to foster care staff. In crisis situations, there is an immediate connection to support for foster families and children.
  3. Caring services
    LCFS of Michigan provides the highest quality of service through family, individual, group therapy or behavioral modification services for those children who are experiencing emotional difficulties. Staff are available to discuss pertinent issues with foster caregivers.
  4. History
    LCFS of Michigan has been serving children for more than 100 years.
