Residential
LCFS provides a range of quality Residential Care programs to support a successful transition to adulthood for youth ages 12 to 18. Regardless of the permanency plan developed for each youth, LCFS residential programs provide:
- A trauma informed approach to treatment
- 24-hour per day supervision by trained specialists
- Individual and group counseling
- Medical and dental services coordinated by agency case managers
- On-site social workers
- Psychological and psychiatric services
- Family therapy, if appropriate
- Education at an on-grounds or community school
- Experiential learning in a low and high ropes program
- Skills building for independent living
- Pre-vocational training and work experience opportunities
- Community service opportunities
- Social interaction skills development
- Religious services to meet individual family requests
Community Opportunities include:
- Symphony and theatre performances
- Attendance at major athletic events
- Overnight camping trips
- Museum visits
- Drama, art and music classes with working artists
- Etiquette classes
- Summer camp
- Community activities
