Lutheran Child & Family Service of Michigan, a not-for-profit organization, is committed to providing outcome based, individually tailored, accredited human services to children and families regardless of race, age, gender or religious affiliation.  Through strong partnerships with local communities, government, foundations, churches, businesses and individuals, LCFS has been providing social services for more than 100 years.

All too often and for far too many children and families, life’s circumstances have resulted in a feeling of hopelessness.  Without help, such hopelessness can lead to despair, abuse, violence and broken relationships, some which can last a lifetime.   This isn’t the way life should be. 
 
Each year, LCFS has the privilege of working with more than 13,000 children and families throughout Michigan.  Services underscore the importance of respect and education.  Engagement, planning and participation by recipients of services result in new “pictures of possibilities” - brighter futures with long-term, sustainable success.
 
No one is ever alone on life’s journey.  At one time or another, we all need someone.  LCFS is honored to play a role in helping people “Picture the Possibilities” and experience a sense of hopefulness that comes through achievement.
